The series “Einschauen” (=a child covers his or her eyes with his or her hands and counts to ten when playing hide and seek) centers around children’s peeping through their fingers during the countdown in a game of hide and seek. Is the glance of a playing child at another child who believes him- or herself unobserved voyeuristic? The blurred shadow of the covering hand charges the banal motives in the sunlit background with a new meaning.
