The series Life is Life was inspired by a more than a century old encyclopaedia, which includes texts and illustrations on reproduction, evolution and gender.
The old prints the artist found in the encyclopaedia are collaged with each other and with the artist’s private images. Colours are added to the pictures, thus giving them new contexts and meaning.
